When a Career Guidance Session Becomes a Lifelong Milestone!
Recently, I received a call from Rajasthan.
The father said, “Sir, my daughter wants to speak with you.”
When she came on the call, she said something that made my day:
“Sir, I attended your session when I was in Grade 9. That day, I finalised my career goal. Today, I am pursuing B.Tech at IIT. I would now like to seek your guidance on how to design my next career goals.”
What a fulfilling moment!
As educators, trainers and career counsellors, we often interact with thousands of students. However, the real impact of our work becomes visible when a student remembers a session years later and connects it with a significant milestone in their life.
Career Counselling is not about telling students which profession to choose. It is about helping them:
Discover their interests, strengths and potential.
Understand their personality and aptitude.
Explore academic and professional opportunities.
Set realistic, meaningful and progressive career goals.
Develop the confidence to make informed decisions.
One right conversation at the right stage can change the direction of a student's journey.
And remember, career planning should not stop after Grade 10 or 12. Every milestone calls for fresh reflection, new goals and informed decisions.
Parents, are your children making career choices based on their interests and abilities, or simply following the crowd?
I invite students and parents to connect for structured career guidance, personality analysis, SWOC analysis and one-to-one counselling.
Let's move from Career Confusion to Career Clarity!
