Flower Kids School, Sagwara: A Remarkable Example of Collective Social Responsibility
What an inspiring institution!
Flower Kids School, Sagwara, has a hostel capacity of more than 5,000 students, including boys and girls. What makes this institution truly remarkable is that it is managed by retired teachers and principals who continue to dedicate their lives to the cause of education.
The community's contribution is equally extraordinary.
🌾 Food from Their Own Land: Villagers donate essential food grains and other food items, including wheat, rice and pulses. They strongly believe that children should eat food grains grown on the very land to which they belong.
🤝 A Tradition of Giving: Villagers contribute their first salary earned at the beginning of their professional careers towards this noble cause.
❤️ Giving Back After Retirement: Some people also donate a small percentage of their Provident Fund (PF) or gratuity after retirement to support the institution.
This is much more than a school. It is a powerful example of how education, community participation, generosity and collective responsibility can come together to create a meaningful social impact.
When retired educators continue to serve, villagers share the produce of their land, and individuals contribute from their earnings and retirement benefits, education becomes a collective mission rather than the responsibility of a few.
A society does not need to wait for a miracle to bring change. When people unite with a shared purpose, they themselves become the agents of transformation.
Collective efforts can transform not just an institution, but generations to come.
